Dharma For Life celebrated its First Anniversary on January 18, 2025, at The Constitution Club of India. The event brought distinguished scholars, scientists, authors, students, and philosophy enthusiasts together. Dr. Pooja Vyas, Director of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research in New Delhi, chaired the program. Dr Natalia Zheleznova, from the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, graced the occasion as the Guest of Eminence. Mrs. Divyanshi Jain Dagar, a philosophy enthusiast, convened the whole event.
The day began at 10 AM with a warm welcome tea, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. A renowned scholar of Jainism, Dr C. Devakumar Jain, sang a few verses from the Svayambhu Stotra, setting a spiritual tone for the day. Dr. Narendra Bhandari, a well-known Indian space scientist and a renowned scholar of Jainism, delivered a lecture on his book, Jainism: The Eternal and Universal Path to Enlightenment. His insights bridged the scientific and spiritual aspects of Jainism. The audience was deeply engaged and asked thoughtful questions during the lively Q&A session. The refreshing break allowed attendees to network and connect.
In the second session, Dr Medhavi Jain launched Dharma For Life’s logo along with the first issue of the E-magazine- DHARMA FOR LIFE ECHOES, highlighting the integration of Indian philosophy and modern thought. The event’s highlight was the release of Dr. Medhavi Jain’s book Matter and Mokṣa: Science and Spirituality in Jainism. The session underscored Jainism’s relevance in bridging scientific inquiries with spiritual aspirations. Dr Medhavi Jain, the founder of Dharma For Life, explained that the book explores the interplay between material existence and liberation. An award ceremony honoured the individuals who contributed significantly to Dharma For Life in the past year. Mr Parveen Jain, CMD Tulip Group and Founder of The Tulip Foundation, presented the awards to all the awardees.
The event concluded with an address by Dr Pooja Vyas. The program ended at 2 p.m. with a Satvik Jain lunch. Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of the National Educational Technology Forum (Ministry of Education, Govt. of India), wrote a letter conveying his best wishes for the event’s grand success and the book’s release. He expressed that the lecture and the book would be insightful for students, parents, and teachers.
