Cheer up! Write up on middle aged women
During her family life often she invests too much of herself into all the relationships, be it emotions, feelings, or physical devotion. Women spend more time at home & hence with their children & husband and all the other relationships. With time she gets more & more involved and this involvement leads to the preparation of an abstract bridge of expectation that makes her believe that they will return all the care and warmth she is manifesting in them. Whereas it happens jus
Learnings from my recent visit to a cowshed cum research centre
Since I came in touch with the concept of Veganism, I started contemplating about the painful animal agriculture and its' harmful effects on the environment. To know more about cows' suffering what can be better than to visit a cowshed (cum research centre) and have a talk with the responsible person himself. On this Independence Day I visited 'Kamdhenu Godham' in Tavdu, Haryana, run by Mr. S. P. gupta (Ex-IAS) & his wife Mrs. Shashi Gupta. Lovingly they take care of 252 cows
How Three Weeks Changed My Perspective
Truth is bare, bitter & ugly The only beauty of it is that it takes us towards freedom Freedom of the soul, karma & what not Day: 24th June, 2018 Place: Downtown, Toronto, Canada Event: LGBT Parade I was handed over a pamphlet with the PRIDE colours on it, somehow I took it & had a random look, that mentioned the word 'SPECIESISM' means discrimination based on species & that pamphlet requested to end it. A quote was also written on it: "We don't need to oppress others to l
A Sarcastic Poetry on Death
Hello friends, Recently I've heard of a few deaths and also I have been to some uthaavanis. My observations have made me write this poetry. Nothing personal.
English Vinglish & Housewives
Watched English-Vinglish again with my mom. I got tears in my eyes, many times, both the times. I'm happy Bollywood is going into such a wonderful direction. This move is so amazing, it has touched hearts. It has told housewives that they too have a right to see dreams, to live their lives. They should never ever under estimate themselves. They are the ones who have the power to raise their children with good moral values, act as a support & strength to their husbands, take c
A Poem On Refugees
Just wrote this poem after reading The Kite Runner. But had the idea in mind since Lajja & A Thousand Splendid Suns. REFUGEESEarlier when we used to talk about refugees, I used to think of them as adoptees. (by a particular country) I didn't used to respect them, In fact I used to consider them as condemned. People, who run from their country and enter the other country forcefully, Snatching away it's people's rights from their native land, And making everything bland. But re
SO THAT WE CAN BE AT PEACE
When we are in need, We even like the person, who is otherwise unwanted. If a tap is leaking in our bathroom & it's sound is bothering to the extreme. We need a plumber to fix it up, So that we can be at peace. If there is no water in the overhead tank Because the water pump is not working, No water at home and we are feeling irritated, We need an electrician to fix it up, So that we can be at peace. If the door of our cupboard is broken down & hanging, We are unable to open

Hi friends, Here I am with a poem on every mother's feelings about her daughter. I want to dedicate this poem to my daughter "Divyanshi" & would like to thank Mr. Ajay Handa (from Speaking Tree), for giving me the idea of this poem. JAB MERI BITIYA KA JANAM HUA, JAB GOD MEIN MAINE USE LIYA, LAGA VEH MERA HI TO NANHA ROOP THI. FIR DHEERE-DHEERE USE BADHTA DEKHA, MAANO APNE HI BACHPAN KO PUNAH DEKHA. PAALNE MEIN USE JO KATHINAIYAN AAYIN, TAB MUJHE MERI MAA BHI YAAD HO AA
A Conversation Between Me & A Higher Me
Me: I'm fed up of gossiping, but still I do it. Higher Self: Thank God, at least you are realising. At the time you start gossip, I always warn you not to do this, but you don't listen. Me: I know, I'm always listening to you and then I don't know what happens, I just keep talking and talking. Higher self: OK, don't worry, there is always a next time. But keep it in mind, just think before you speak. Me: Ya, I will. But I don't know; there are some people in my life, with wh
IF YOU ARE PLANNING A TRIP TO BALI, INDONESIA
I was curious to go to Bali, also known as the island of Gods, since I read the book Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Finally after a year, we made the plan to go there in children’s summer vacation. I’m sharing my experience of Bali, the places we visited, what to do, where to go and the things one can shop for: There is no direct flight to Bali from New Delhi. There has to be one stoppage. Suppose if you choose Malaysia Airlines, your stoppage will be at Kuala Lumpur.

Hi friends, In this poem I've tried to see the Karma theory and vegetarianism together. Do read it! Regards Medhavi
Poem on the relationship of a mother and her son
Hey Friends, Hope you all are enjoying summer vacations with your family & friends. Here I'm sharing the poem, which I wrote especially for mother's day. When a woman's son gets married, a lot of changes happen in everyone's life in the family. Of course wedding is a new birth for a woman, but we always see a woman's perspective on that, we never try to undersatnd what the man goes through. So, in the poem, I've tried to portray a mother's situation, just after her son's marr
